It’s our custom-tailored concept design process that brings your vision, budget, and home design together before construction starts. You’ll receive 2D floor plans, 3D renderings, a virtual walkthrough, and a preliminary cost estimate — all created by one cohesive design-build team.

Why start with the Design Clarity Plan instead of jumping straight to construction?expand_more

Because great homes are crafted with 90% planning and 10% execution. The Design Clarity Plan gives you an early visual of what your home will look like, giving you a chance to tailor it to fit you before committing time and money into finalizing Construction Documents and hiring a builder.

What do I get as part of this plan?expand_more

3D color renderings and virtual walkthrough

All designs are produced by our team with a focus both on form and function, designing a durable + beautiful home that fits you.

How long does the design process take?expand_more

Typically 4–8 weeks from concept to completion for Design Clarity Plan.

You’ll receive your first draft within 7 days, then refine your design through up to five rounds of revisions until everything feels right

What happens after my Design Clarity Plan is finished?expand_more

Once your plan is complete, the next step our clients do is move directly into the Pre-Construction Agreement, where we finalize all of your design selections, Construction Documents, Detailed Project Schedule, and Guaranteed Fixed Price Contract.

Some of our Design Clarity Plan clients take their designs and wait until they are ready to build, the designs that we provide for you are yours, but we do use them to help those clients who want to build with our team to finalize all design details.

What if I already have an architect or existing design?expand_more

If you already have a design you love, or that just needs minor details tweaked, then you would actually go directly in to our Pre-Construction Agreement where we take the designs and finalize all selections, create construction documents, set schedules, and give you an accurate fixed-price contract proposal for your home build project.

If you are working with an architect, we would also still require a Pre-Construction Agreement in order to accurately provide the level of detail and care necessary to give you an EXACT price contract for your home build.

Can I take my design elsewhere if I decide not to build with Doxa?expand_more

Yes. Everything created during your Design Clarity Plan including drawings, renderings, and estimates belongs to you.

We’re confident you’ll see the value in continuing with us, but your deliverables are always yours.

Do you handle interior design and material selections too?expand_more

During this phase, our focus for design is architectural design style, layout, flow, basic color themes, and ethos of your home. We do not focus in any level of detail on interior design details or selections.

During Pre-Construction, however, we go deep in helping you choose and guide you through the detailed selections process. We do collaborate with interior designers on the more bespoke and luxurious projects.
